We often judge ourselves and others based on what we can see, but God sees what is hidden in the heart. 1 Corinthians 4:5 reminds us to trust Him with the final judgment, knowing that He sees our motives clearly and will bring everything into the light in His perfect timing.
So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time- before the Lord returns.
For He will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due. 1 Corinthians 4:5.
1 Corinthians 4:5 calls us to a life of humble trust in God. We often feel the need to evaluate ourselves or pass judgement on others, but only the Lord truly sees the depths of the human heart.
Transformation of the inner life, our heart
God is far more concerned with the transformation of our inner
life, our heart, than with outward appearances. He is patiently shaping us into the likeness of Christ. We are to lay down the burden of trying to determine what only God can know and to rest in the confidence that Jesus sees clearly and judges perfectly.
When people misunderstand us, when our faithfulness goes unnoticed, or when we are tempted to question the motives of others, this verse invites us to trust the Lord’s timing.
One day Christ will bring everything into the light, revealing the truth with perfect wisdom, justice, and love.
Until then, our calling is not to be judges but faithful disciples, walking closely with Jesus and leaving the final verdicts in His gracious hands.
Good News Only! Our God is a Big God!
Blessings! Gerry
